There's a slight chance you may have a small crew from SLC make the journey. Plans are in the works.

whats a good time to get there? Haven't been in a while, but I remember traffic backed up to the 605 waiting to get in, only had 2 lanes open. Have they fixed that?

The east entrance is for pre-registered, which can handle e/b and w/b traffic. The west entrance is for those that didn't register but they can handle 2 lines. If traffic backs upto the frwy, the police may flag you out of the left turn lane that enters the east entrance. In that case, you go down to the next signal (west entrance) and make a u-turn and head back to the east entrance. I pre-register and never had to wait. The line for unregistered gets pretty long.

I'm probably driving modern. What's a good time to get there for general parking and not too much of a wait?

The Route 66 Roadhouse Tavern is just 5 miles north in Duarte, also has a couple of affordable hotels within crawling distance for those out of town-ers that are coming down on Friday

I guess I'm a little confused here?? I'm coming south on the 605, to Arrow then Live Oak Ave, but I have only seen a north gate. Seems like I have been in line with both registered cars and non in the past. I'm registered for the event, Is there an easier way I'm missing? Thanks in advance

Maggie's Pub or Geezers which are down a mile down Telegraph in SFS.

  18. I can...if wanted!

  19. Both gates are on the north side. One is east of the main entrance, which is at the signal.

  20. I have always tried to get there before 7am.

If Im remembering correctly they have the left lane cones set up or something and you make a left across the street into the event so you dont have to wait in that long line. We always pass that and go way down and flip a U-turn to get in line. See ya there!

    Hey Eric,

Thanks for the extra info, it's really appreciated! I'm sure it will be much easier this time for us. For some reason in the past, I ended up waiting the long line, even tho I was registered......dummy me!

    C-You there!
