I'm hoping to look at a 37-38 Chevy business coupe soon.
Are there any known problem areas i should look for?

You know, something they are prone to, certain ares rust out, bad frame , anything of that nature I should look for.

Appreciate any model specific help you can offer.

    Thanks

Rockers, lower area behind the doors, and tail pan are prone to rust. patch panels are available for all the problem areas.

Tailpan rust out in the bottom area is a problem on most 37-39 Chevys, just like the 37-40 Fords. Also look for bondo covering a really mangled pan.
Lower quarters between door and rear fender are a repository for grit, grime, water and rust buildup.
Lower front door posts where they meet the rockers are often eaten up.
Cowl vent trough can be crunchy as most have the vent drain clogged.

Mine is old and I get all my body panel parts from either Chevysoftheforties or The Filling Station and both have good products and service.

The EMS tail pans require a lot of work to make them look right
