You know, if you eliminate the Water Pump & Fan assembly you could fit practically any typical V8 in a Model A. I've thought about useing a chevy electirc relocated with some copper plumbing piping. With that extra cooling from the piping & extra capacity, it would probally run cool enough to not need a fan.
I don't have the part# handy, but the Shogun water pump has a low cost twin available at Graingers. Not sure if it is suitable for a daily driver or just a race only piece.
like from an rv or hvac? I don't think they can handle the heat. http://www.pplmotorhomes.com/parts/rv-pumps-water/12-volt-water-pump.htm
Marine Bilge pump? 17 GPM might be a bit light duty for sitting in traffic. http://www.downwindmarine.com/Groco-CP-20-Centrifugal-Pump-12V-p-91001061.html Or Meziere Pumps. 20-55 GPM
Oh you'll need a face on it. There's a few OEM remote electric water pumps out there. BMW is one that comes to mind. A crafty fellow could turn a cam drive pump with a pulley mounted right in front of the starter.
I built this water pump. I cast and machined the housing using my old high school metal shop knowledge. The pump itself is a 383/440/Hemi unit. It cools my OT Boss Hoss bike much better than the old Jabsco bilge pump that it had, originally. The Jabsco pumps do work pretty well, though
Meziere water pumps, work great I have a street car and a couple Bonneville cars running em. Try Summit they got em .
VW's that have 2.8v6 and 1.8turbos have an auxiliary electric pump that works pretty well. salvage yards ought to have plenty of them.
Stewart has the best in-line pump. http://www.stewartcomponents.net/Me...OD&Product_Code=E558A&Category_Code=ElectPump jack vines
