Just want a little input on a 55 2dr Ply wagon. Been into the 32 -34 stuff for over 45 years, kinda with blinders on. Got a chance 2 pickup an all stock 55 2dr wagon, running with hardly any rust in it (OG Oklahoma car) fairly CHEEP. What ya think about just cleanin it up a little and cruzin it or flippin it. All comments will be talen with an open mind, so go ahead and blast away !
The whole family can have fun in that. My buddy recently sold his a coupe hot rod and got a 55 buick and couldn't be happier. The whole family piles in and they go. Turns as many heads or more than the a. Go for it.
It's a 6 with 3 on the tree. Not that I want it, but it 's like sumbody callin me and sayin --- Hey I got a 32 3 window body that's cherry you can have for $4000
X3! (EDIT: ChopTopJimmy beat me to it! LOL) That Plymouth is a work of art, from the grille to the tail lights. And finding hop up goodies for the six is like an Easter egg hunt, ...very rewarding! (After a number of BB's, I now have two 216 Chevys!)
now that i think about it i dont ever remember seeing a 55 plymouth wagon...BUY IT!!!!! i love 2 dr wagons, dont care if they ford chevy etc.just as long as they are old.
5 grand or better to the right buyer. Just started a Mopar wagon project myself linked in my sig - also that was not planned. KraZy how people love wagons - they all remember riding in them as kids. We got thumbs-up within the first few blocks on the very first drive and always do. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=334234&highlight=55+wagon+plymouth
wagons aren't as popular as they where 10 years ago. but, that dosn't mean it wouldn't be a blast to have. you would probably like all the room your not used to. when my street rod buddys get in one of mine, they they look around like they are starring at a sky scraper for the first time. all they talk about is all the room i have. i wouldn't give over $3500 for it myself.
Being a '32 Guy myself I can tell you the old wagons area lot of fun,,we have really enjoyed the '54 since we finished it. HRP
Oh, I don't know about that... They haven't made any more of those old ones in the last ten years. . .
I'd say 3500 is a decent number.... Even if it does have a bit of hidden gremlins, like a bit of rot etc.
