I just got the roof on my 64 le sabre want based silver and flaked. I not sure if i want to add flames or scallops on the side of the roof in candy blue or leave it simple.

Sometimes less is more. Scallops might work, I wouldn't flame it. Don't try too hard-it shows. Pics would help, someone might PS it for you.

Flakes and scallops go well together in my eye. Flames and flake, not so much. Just my dopey opinion.

  5. If you are building a custom the rule of thumb is "less is more."

If you must do something to make it more standout ( gaudy?) the Lesabre would lend itself well to a panel paint job. That would hold true to the '60s which is where that car comes from.

Done correctly it will look great. Done incorrectly it will look terrible. If you possess the skills to do it correctly or the cash to pay someone to do it correctly I say go for it!

Leave it simple. The only lace I like is on panties.

That would be my choice, when ever I can get it.

Don't need a pic to know flames is a bad idea, scallops maybe though:D
