anyone recognise this A sedan ?

recently took possesion of this 28 sedan and i am in the process of trying to trace its history so i can keep it with the car . i know it was brought over here a few years back and given a new look , and is now getting some much needed spanner work to bring it back to be a safe driver i believe it once was ... anyone recognise it ?? could also do with knowing what the running gear is

The only help I can give is "please lose the 3rd brake light".
