Motion Pictures American Graffiti

Tonight at 8:35ct. on the Encore channel. Cool! Something to watch while I prep my lake pipes!

 

I prefer to play the dvd, no comercials.

 

Never tire of watching that movie.

 

No commercials on the Encore channel. It's HBO's cousin.

 

OK, wouldnt know. I don't watch tv, other than dvds playing in the background for noise.

 

Ive got the drive in double feature DVD, almost worn out.

 

anybody seen "More American Graffit"? is it any good?

 

Hellyeah its good. Toad is in Vietnam and Milner is a drag racer trying to go pro, money well spent

 

One of my favs of all time ...never tire of it .

iv watched that movie ever since i was little and it is one of my favorites.

 

I have never seen it.I'll have to put that on my winter movies to watch.

 

more american graffitti is no where as good as the original not even half as good

 

They cut it pretty bad. And cut out swearing and non-PC words, like 'spastic'. Milner is now a 'plastic creep'. Falfa says his car is 'plain yellow'. Some people were completely dubbed, like Budda.

I noticed a T-bucket with white painted headers. Was there VHT in 62?

And when the cops got it, there was a big white arrow painted on the pavement.

 

Saw the movie when it was first released and the only good part is the drag scene. Instead of taking place during one night, the movie takes place over a period of years (during the 60s) and it jumps from one year to another. Dumb.

 

I can't get into American Graffiti. Every time I watch it, I fall asleep half way through and it really annoys me because everyone I know loves it. Okay, you guys have convinced me: I'm gonna watch it again tonight. All the way through, even if I have to use toothpicks...

 

Maybe the culture was different in Oz.

I never lived it, yet can relate to the 'teenage experiences'.

the second one is not as good, but they use all the same actors witch normally doesent happen. still cool to see the old cars.

 

The 1st its the best, the 2nd dulls your impression of the movie. The same as my 2nd favorite movie Smokey and the Bandit. The origonals are the the best and any sequills suck.

 

I'm sitting here watching reruns of Emergancy! And the graffiti coupe is on the lift getting tires put on! I got 2 crappy shots, as they were walking out of the shop (Kim's autobody) you can see the 4 2s and black top insert.

 

Got the CD's but I'll be watching......

 

"More American Graffiti" is on Netflix if you have it. Worth watching but not as good as the original.
