  3. Well, here's all the parts.
The 31 will be chopped, fenderless, with the A frame, 302 (yes, Ford engine) and C-4.

  13. I am working on my first car, I got it in 1958, but have not had it on the road since 1964. It is a rare 1929 Ford cabriolet convertible. It is a traditional build, keeping the 4 banger, but hopped up a bit; also '40 ford hydraulic brakes, '56 ford PU steering, synchro trans, some dechroming, Coker 5.90s and 8.20s, '50 Merc-style hub caps, and '33 Dodge instrument panel. Hoping to get it to being a roller by January '13.

The '29 coupe in the background is waiting til I finish the cabriolet, it will be on deuce rails and running the 392 peeking out in the lower right corner of this photo.

Well heres my poor mans duece. Just another high-boy A 31 coupe. Building with a 50's and 60's look. Also trying to build with as many older and traded parts as i can find in the hills and backwoods of WNY. I've even traded an old allis chalmers B tractor for 2 complete 327 engine and trans.

  21. Absolutely digging the fenders on your coupe. What did the fronts start out as and how did you shape the rears?

Thanks........I'm diggin them fenders also. The best part of these were that there very low budget. The fronts came off my buddys old boat trailer that was headed to the scrap yard. Cut 6" off one end and did a full 1" rip up and around the outer edge. Rears were also quite simple. Took the full rear fender and made a 3" slice right up the middle and rewelded back together. Also did a full length rip up and around outer edge. Bobbed rear to meet the bottom body line, and bobbed the front to reach down and around the body to end at bottom of frame. Was trying to resemble the bobbed 32 fender on the "Griffit Coupe".

  24. ^^^Thanks for the info, well done. I'm thinking that's gonna be one of the nicer highboys I've seen.
