So I am finally graduating in December, and I will be looking for a place to live in Houston. I got a decent job lined out now I want my dream to come true. I am looking to move into a warehouse space. If an office is attached that would be great or I am very capable of doing my own build out. I have looked elsewhere but I figured the HAMB might be a good resource for an unconventional living space. I have multiple projects to work on and feel a warehouse would be ideal. I have two dogs so a stand alone space would be preferred.

I know I am putting a lot of info up as to my needs but you never know....might be some Houston Hambers out there with rental warehouses or connections.

Thanks in advance to any responses or considerations.

where is your job located? Houston is huge and getting as close as practical is a big deal unless you like staring at tail lights. Gig 'em (?) There are also areas to avoid if you plan on having nice things like cars and tools. you'll have better luck if both are inside of loop 610. I've lived there since '95.

Check craigslist, look for someplace close to your job, houston is a pretty big city and not being close to work can b a pain. It is nor common for a 20 minute drive to be over an hour or more with traffic.

Talk to a Realtor, tell them exactly what you are looking for and they will find it for you.

    Houston is huge.

i had a few buddies live like that. it wasnt as cool as it sounded after the rain. rodents, and wind came. They made a shower in the rest room but man it was rough, good luck. its all about finding the right place.

  6. I lived in a warehouse in Redwood City once and loved it. But I had a big stump tailed cat and after living on the road for a few years it was great. ;)

I realize how big Houston is I am moving back. With my line of work I'll be moving around but I would like to be inside the loop. And yes gig em! I have been searching craigslist. I was just checking here to see if there was any solid leads. Ill look into the realtors.

No from what I understand its a forum for like minded individuals who like to work on a specific type of cars. I fit the criteria and will be performing such work in my next dwelling. I apologize if its off topic but I don't feel it is.

there are business parks all over that are roughly a 2000 - 3000 square foot area with a small office in one corner. I too have thought about living in one with my toys. a COMMERCIAL real estate broker would be a better bet than a regular realtor. and how about parking a 5th wheel size camper in there for quarters?
