Picked this up at a yard sale over the weekend.

Says "Cosworth DFV Racing Engine Valve Spring used in a Grand Prix Racing Car owned by Vels Parnelli Jones Racing"

Anyone ever seen one of these? Any idea on value?

I imagine it was one of those counter top show off items. Kinda like the lukas oil thing at every parts store with the plastic gears you can turn to see how well their oil lubricates.

So I'd guess its worth whatever you paid for it

    Kool piece for sure though

Cool find! People pay good money for authentic racing memorabilia. Although I have no idea how much it is worth. I would love to have something like.

It looks like a nice paper weight or a decent dust collector to set up on the self by the bar and spin a bs tale about how you came up with it.

Or you can throw it up on Ebay and see if the hard core PJ memorabilia collectors decide to bid on it.

    I'd say it's worth about $3.00

This would have been the car that valvespring was in.

    Mario Andretti was the driver.

This is always a crass and inappropriate question. NOYFB is always my answer.

Seems to be an answer. Not a question. Reading is good. Comprehension is better.
