I was thinking that was a Ranger chassis. Works out really nice.

After the wedding, I welded in the rear crossmember of the bed and riveted the bed sides to the front header panel of the bed. Then I loaded it up on my pickup and it was off to the bodyshop again. This past week, the bed was done so we loaded the truck on a flatbed and took it to the shop to mount the bed, fenders and tailgate:

Is that one of those Bob Drake sliding rear windows in the back or am I just seeing the front windshield divider?

  4. Looks like a reflection of the front window divider. You can see the rear is set in rubber.

In this case, it's the windshield division bar.

Although Bob Drake sells the slider kit, many folks don't know that the sliding rear glass was actually a Ford option on the 40 and 41 trucks. I think I have seen only 1 example of this in person but they do exist. It's pretty rare. I think when coupled with a cowl vent, you could have some pretty decent "AC" going on in the cab.

The Old Car Shop is one of the first places I will take this truck once it's running!!
Thanks to all you guys who took the time to follow this thread. There is a complete build thread over on the Garage Journal. I posted the build there because it may be a little to OT for the HAMB
