a little extra (welding) light

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by nmpontiac, Oct 12, 2012.

  1. My shop has hi-bay lights, so sometimes when I'm welding inside the car I need a little more light. A couple just right size Adel clamps and a 1/4 bolt and nut clamp a mini-maglite to my tig gun and help a lot. I've seen a commercial version of this but didn't feel like paying the price. Already had all this stuff. Hope it helps someone.

  7. I had to push the lite down closer to the nozzle, and you have to occasionally clean the smoke off the lens, but new lenses are cheap as are the AA batteries. I also tried it with a maglite converted to LED with the push button on/off on the end cap - worked fine.
