The mounting bracket is what changes on different makes of transmissions. Then the actual car body style would have a certain set of bent linkage rods to clear obstacles. The shifter body itself would be the same.
The "Mystery shifter" was the cheap line of HURST shifters..all M/S had round shfiter lever..not flat as the "Syncro-Loc"...
Some called it the Mystery Shifter because it was quite often a "mystery" as to which gear you were in ! ! ! ! VR&C.
do ya have any transmissions laying around? the mounting holes on the brackets look about right for a chevy trans.
As stated these were the bottom of the line. No stops , no adjustments, most had no linkage bushings. When they acumulated a few hard miles on them they got real sloppy.
