"Its my life, I'll remember it anyway I like."

    That's my usual answer.

'"'As I get older I no longer have patience for it. Now, I just call them on it. It works out great.'"

Yep..But ya gotta do it with calm and reserve and if you can't just say "thats' nice" and walk away...Best ever was when a guy was telling me, and everyone in ear shot, about MY car! The look on his face [and everyone else's] when I got in and started it up was priceless...And to the OP; don't waste your mind space on em', they aren't paying rent...

Seems like making up whatever reality you want to live in is popular these days. Facts don't seem all that important any more no matter what the subject. Hot rods are probably some of the least of it in comparison.

I miss BIR! Used to go see the funny cars when I was a little kid (Snake's Army car VS Hoover's Showtime!).
I moved from Crosby, MN out here to Seattle when I was eight. Still have a lot of family around Brainerd, Merrifield, Deerwood, and Crosby.
As far as the clueless fella goes, I'd love to see him lose to a small block with his "426"!

  8. Here's my 426 Hemi and my wife. (Both of these are lies) ;o) This is a Pin up that was at my place getting pictures taken with my 1936 for a magazine ( Maybe) . We figured we would get a few with the 276 Hemi. powered 3 window Willys Whippet coupe.

If they really believe its a 426 I would like to see them try to put 426 parts on it when something breaks.

    Heres a question for you!:
    _Why do people chew gum???why,why.why???
Simple, when the horse is out of the stable its time for some hay!!!
    Communicating is a human .
Lying is a gift from the gods.
It´s like That Pink Floyd song:"Speak"...have you heard it? Good.
Have you heard it in the bathtub while in the fetal position,????Now your getting it.
Think about it how many guys, including me,would be happy roaming the earth being single, but thanks to a bunch of lies, she got him to marry her.!
How many marriages would be now destroyed if it wasnt for lying?
How many kids dreams would be crushed if it wasnt for lying....
Like....yeah thats your baby!!!!hes got your eyes.!
    Get in the frequency.!
Like my daddy he said: Dont you ever tell anyone I come here at nite.

Most big liars do so because they are massively insecure....

If it were me I think my guess would have been that continuing to spread his B.S. to you, a total stranger, was easier than having to admit he had been lying in front of his buddy, who probably doesn't know a 350 from an IL6. My guess is that he was covering his ass....

  18. One of my (previous) employees was probably the biggest lier one could meet.
In fact, if you believed in everything he had done in his lifetime of 50 years,
then he would have had to be 100 years old.
    They are everywhere.

Same here. Pathological liar. It was almost funny to bait him in and then make him contradict things he just said.

Did the words "...back in my day" every get thrown into the conversaton?

Could it be, "The older I get the better I was!" syndrome?
