Getting ready to replace the windshield and rubber in my 56 Chevy. Is there a brand name that fits best or are they all good?

I got mine through Mutton Hollow Chevy parts in Utah. I don't rmember what company made it but Mark is very easy to talk to and deal with and doesn't have any junky cheap parts and ships fast.

T&N still has the best. Good luck trying to install your glass with a danchuck seal. Jay

X2 what JBH said regarding Danchuk!! Definitely T & N is the best for windshield and weather strip rubber. I bought mine through East Coast Chevy.

Thanks, that's what I'm looking for, I'll give T&N a call. Sounds like you guys have had good results with them.

If you've never done the installation yourself, hire someone who has done it a number of times. Watch and learn.

    Money well spent.

  11. If you've never done it, don't make the mistake that Boyd's glass guys did on TV. The stainless goes in the seal before the installation. You can't install it after the fact.

Just to clarify, it's only the two upper half's seat inside the grove of the window rubber. All the rest is externally done.

We also used a Danchuk and that would always leak.

I used to do auto glass years ago and some can be a challenge for sure. Sounds like Danchuck is the one to stay away from, so T&N it is.

Hey Johnny we were discussing your rear glass, trim and rubber in Ventura, what brand did you use on yours?

It was from Danchuk , now I know why the trim won't seat correctly after reading this thread. Even Mike, (prier owner) of the Glass House said it was my window seal that was the issue.

I called T&N they sell through dealers, no dealers in my area had any in stock and laughed cause they hadn't been shipped any in the last year. Seems to always be a backorder issue with T&N. Anybody no for sure a dealer that actually has it in stock? Thanks

T&N--for sure--call Cliff's Chevrolet in Oregon--he can get what you need.
