Just a suggestion-especially since you're obviously not afraid to cut: Why not take some crown out of the roof? It would look better with the sectioned body. And further, while I'm dreaming up work for you, the "B" pillar needs leaned forward and please don't use that wrap around backlight. The car has basically box-like shapes and contours and that example you showed using the sedan glass has a bubble top which doesn't flow with the rest of the car. Do you kow anybody who's good at Photoshop?
When I saw that picture, I immediately thought, ''I wonder if that is the one that sat at Tackleys shop in Florida''. I walked past that car a bunch of times. Then owned by John McNally.
Cool story ! I would still love to see more detailed pics of it though , you see I have this rusty sedan parts car and a bunch of extra body panels......
I like where you are going but would use the C pillar off the wagon and the top of the tailgate for the rear of the top. Really like the mild section, looks great.
Way cool, realy digging these. I actually just bought a '69 Ranchero a couple weeks ago, but I'd love that Crown Vic version instead.
Just a quick photoshop, the chop is through the glass and above the drip rail both. This is going to look good.
Thanks for the photoshop rocketbob! I think my top might end up a little lower and the back glass should be slightly steeper, but that's pretty close to what I'm going for. Stop on by Skip, but bring your Victoria, I want to check it out!
That burgundy car in shown in the old photo with the GT mags really brings back some memories. Great project!
I cheated and ordered one from Utes R Us. How is the project going? Or is McTims projects slowing you down?
