Mine are factory GM style, which requires quite a bit of modification to get them to fit the small 283.

I'm still on the fence as to whether I will run the common Speedway $20 little chrome air cleaners.........

or a set of scoops, like in my mockup picture. Guess I won't know till the car is done.

I'm in Dons boat right now. Running pretty generic louvered air cleaners....quite tempted to go with scoops.

  8. I am using "Maund" finned velocity stacks to match the valve covers. They have screens installed to keep out dirt and small birds etc.

Had to make a simple adapter ring but otherwise right out of the magazine.

  12. I keep playing around with this, but always come back to the chrome louvered ones. The stacks are 2 1/2 inch stainless, the red ones are homemade, I've got some K & N tapered ones and a few other homemade ones that I don't have pics of, but like I said, my favorites are the louvered ones. Winter is comming though so we'll see what I come up with.

  14. Love your Meteor injected Poncho powered A coupe! Looks like you're putting on some fun miles.

Now if I can find another tri-carb air cleaner like this I would build a car around it!

Whatever you choose, put K&N filters inside. They flow 3 times as much air as a paper filter.
