Sun Tach Model D-1 / E - Application???

    Found this sweet piece sitting on our shelf. It's range is only 0 to 3,500 rpm. Was this used in old delivery trucks? Six Cylinder styles? We got it at an auction in an old warehouse up in Williamsport, PA. The guy had a lot of great truck goodies that went really cheap. This was one of them. It was paired with the wrong transmitter, so I was just wondering what it was right for. On the back is says "Model D-I" (not sure if that's an I or a 1) and Model E. Also says # 5855. Any info is helpful. Here's some quality pictures to get a good look at it:

    Believe it's an aircraft tach.
     
  6. I know this is an old thread, but I have two of these and don't know much about them.

    I'm also looking for the bezel or mount if anyone has one?
