I'm confident there will be a good turnout. My father is going with his 40 Ford. I would go to the Messarounds show but due to my current geographic location I'll most likely attend Rumblefest in Wisconie. From what I understand the Messarounds show is awesome. If it's anything like last year there will be a line of cars waiting to get in.

I gotta set up for the Studebakers/Orphans/Stillmade show in Hugo that morning (Show is Monday, but we gotta paint lines n' all in the field out back of The Blacksmith Lounge). After we finish up, I'll head over there. Probably in the M5.

I plan on being there in the A V/8 with the wife and possibly daughter in tow. My dad in his chopped '55 Chev and both my brothers plan on dropping in. My son's vacationing in California, this will be the first year he's missed so he was kind of bummed. Kind of turned into a family event (my families weird) :) My buddy Rick should be there with his
'53 caddy. Looking forward to it and the weather looks like it's going to cooperate.

"My father is going with his 40 Ford."

Someones Ford coupe caught on fire when driving in, was that your father's?
I was about 4 cars back, it looked like quick action with a extinquisher saved the day. It was being pushed out of the street when I drove by. Our entourage made it with no issues.

I seen ya made it and wasn't parked that far from you, didn't get the chance to say hello. Nice turn out for cars and people didn't seem to be as many bikes this year.

Not sure if it was the heat or what but the lot sure got empty early this year. We went in to eat lunch at about one and when we got back outside at two thirty there were about two dozen cars left. Also seems like Memory lanes was not prepared this year. I can't believe they ran out of hamburgers at one in the afternoon and took over an hour to get an order of nachos and fish tacos.I would have been more pissed if the tacos had not been so good. Still one of my favorite shows. I've been to everyone.

  17. had a great time as usual. some great cars, a few i had never seen before.
i go for the carshow so i did'nt get worked up about the wait for food.
if they had run out of pabst it may have been a different story though!

Thanks to all you guys on here that came out to the show! The fire on the Ford that was at the entry sure was scary for a minute...

I really think the quality of cars was up this year and that's what we strive for. I think it was just the heat that drove some guys away early. I try to keep the flow of the show going with music and things like the cacklefest but some guys just leave because they have other obligations too. We're talking about adding a few more attractions next year like some guys with swap stuff. I apologize for Memory Lanes running out of food. They try to make sure there's enough but the crowds get big it's just difficult to keep up.

Anyways, thanks again for coming out and supporting the show.

I'll try to get some pictures later today or tomorrow. Thanks - Stefan

Don't get me wrong I had a great time. After BBT50's the Messaround and the Frankenstieners ball are my two favorite shows. I make it a point to be in town on Labor Day just so I can go. The year Brian Setzer was at the show was great. I actually was able to have a long conversation with him and thank him for the big influince he made in my life. Just thought I should clarify, you guys put on a great show.

Good show as usual. It was a little hot and the crows did leave a little early. Lots of cool cars and Crankshaft played great.

I had a great time... one of my favorite shows to go to. It's great to see a show dedicated to traditional and customs. Can't say enough good things about how well it is organized !
