Ya know my heart still feels like it weighs 20 lbs when I think of your situation. I cannot think of anything worse. On the flipside, I cannot think of anything cooler then being able to see someone young receive this award in honor and memory of your son Nathan. I know it's going to be a really emotional day when you do but it'll definitely start helping those wounds. God bless ya.

It's always sad to hear about someone so young passing away in this hobby. I didn't know your family, but you will be in my family's prayers tonight. God Bless you guys.

So who did you pick for the award?

  19. Nick Speridon was the Strube Familie's choice for the first annual Goodguys Nathan Strube Memorial Award!

It could not have gone to a more deserving young person.

    Nick's car is a '71 Dodge Demon.

Nick was extremely enthusiastic, knowledgeable and worked on the car with his dad. We knew as soon as we met him that he was our pick!

I will post a pic tonight...

Maybe not HMB material but any pics of the winning car?

  22. And Nick drives it! He drove it from CA to WA for the Puyallup GG show... and is going to go to Scottsdale and then DelMar!

My 3 year old son Henry said "Dad, that's a HOTROD".....and repeated it over and over......Kids. Congrats to Nick & a great pick for a dedication for your son.

    Sam,

I'm another one in the column of just finding out...yeah I'm in the dark a lot it seems, but I wanted to send my deepest condolences to you and your family. Cherrish the memories and know your sons spirit will live on in the hot rod community for sure. It was a great gesture and honor for the GoodGuys to come forth with a memorial award for your son, and the car you pick looks like a great one. The fact the the young man and his father work together on it and he drives it makes it an excellant choice. God bless you...

    R.I.P. Nathan
    GODSPEED young man...
