This is my first build and iam doing it all pretty much on my own with some help from the H.A.M.B. I chopped the top 4 inches and channeled it 4 inches. i cut the old dash out and fabd a 46 chevy dash in it. i will run a 302 with a c4 behind it and 4:11 rear end. It sets on a tbucket frame now but I will build a new frame from 3x2 tubing. Iam not sure how long to build the frame. I will run a suicide front end with spring behind the axle. Any positive feedb back is welcome. Thanks Merle

I have driven a 39 Ford pickup every day for 17 years, thru 4 states, often pulling a trailer with another old car on it. Its very small inside.
My two sons grew up in that truck and its a good thing they got their drivers licenses because they were getting too big to fit into it.
Of course if yours is an occasional weekend toy ratrod, the room inside wont matter to you

  4. Looks like a good start. Good luck.
