Thank god i wasn't the only one. Out of all of these fantastic pictures i kept coming back to this car. I can't put my finger on what attracts me but i think it's very very cool.

 

I wish you guys that go to bonneville would just lie and report back how hot it was, how crappy the salt was, and what jerks the racers are....

Thanks Doug for the great pictures, especially the race car stuff, for some reason a lot of people seem to forget that is what speedweek is really about. First time in 10 years I've missed it the pictures are helping with the withdrawals.

Maybe it's just me, but I look at a car like this and I think, "You know, there ought to be a way that the NHRA could have a pro class for cars that use this sort of chassis and body combination." Maybe a new kind of Funny Car or something different for the alcohol guys to run.

And I don't know how he does it, but I swear that I can hear engines running in some of these pictures. Thanks Doug!

I don't know what it is about this car, but SHEEITE i'ts too damn cool!

Can't resist. What the heck is that thing sitting in the trunk, looks like a 3 cylinder hemi head with no valves, hooked up to an electric motor???!!!???

 

SAAB 2 stroke, 3 cylinder, flathead head and electric water pump drive.
