Hey there everybody, My dad picked up a set of rims and tires that he thought looked cool but we have no idea what they're for. Here's the measurements: 15in by 3.5in Steel Wheel The bushing is 1in straight through with no taper Tires that are on it are older Goodyear 26x4.5x15 He says they look very professional like they were made/bought this way. Anybody have any ideas what these are or what spindle they'd fit? Any idea what they're worth? My first thought was motorcycle rims... but have no idea! Any help is appreciated. Sailor Mike
Those are Invader Chopper wheels from the 70's - very heavy for the size. Not really suitable for a dragster in my mind. http://www.invaderwheels.com/invader5_015.htm
What Don said above. Hell, the way I have heard of those coming apart on the drive end of a motorcycle, I would think twice about using them on a bike. Seatch Invader on the Jockey Journal...
Close guys, looks like they're Challenger rims by Hallcraft made pre-1978. I guess invader didn't make 8 spoke back then. Will flip over to the jockey journal to get more help. Was stoked at first when my dad called and said he had gotten some spindle mount rims like my magnesium 12 spokes and then he sent the pics! Oh well, will hit up my buddies that are into choppers and see what they have to say.\ Thanks again, Sailor Mike
GASSER! GASSER!! GASSER!!! Man, I love this place. Its like the guy I saw on ebay flogging a set of '63 Dodge inner door handles as "Max Wedge" parts...
I dunno, my dad lives 4 hours away from me so I can't inspect in person. So I figured this would be the best place to check. But anyway, I thought at first maybe motorcycle or rail drag car... But got my answer Thanks again guys.
As I said earlier I looked it up and they're Challenger rims by Hallcraft made pre-1978. But he doesn't have any money in them so I guess he's still happy. Thanks again to Don and Need Louvers who actually helped!
Me neither, I think he just told me 1 inch as a "rough" number but did check with a micrometer as well. I'm sure I'll get a little more info on the Jockey Journal... once I remember my password
sorry, but they look just like the wheels on my friends concrete cart. took a second look, they also dont look like they have high speed (road) bearings in them.
Anybody have any ideas what these are or what spindle they'd fit? Any idea what they're worth? They fit a manure spreader. Not worth much unless you need a wheel for your shit ficker. Might make cool wheels for a bottle cart
