That's freaking awesome! I've been wanting to get my kids some better riding cars to fix up for them. I still kinda feel like pedal cars will always be the best, but there's just not as much fun stuff to do to them.

I turned my son's kiddie four wheeler into an rc car just for grins. Nothing fancy; it can't even steer.

I built lots of weird stuff for my kids when they were growing up, and this is really cool, BUT as the speeds pick up, one thing I think you should always incorporate is some kind of roll cage. Not so much for a roll over, but at this height, a drive under. A couple bars coming up in front of him would protect his head and face in case he goes under a car, picnic table or whatever. Just cheap, easy insurance.
This concludes my public safety announcement.

Hm. My nephews have already been corrupted by the movies. Now it's time to really sink in that hook.

that track is at Mission High School in Fremont, California. home of the Fremont Dragstrip. looks like the house part is near the school as well.

kid is hauling ass! I'd get him a real helmet. teach him how to drift.

FFTEC is in Hayward, they look like import "HOT ROD" guys.

Great Jim Croce reference. Loved the video. Wish I had one when I was that age.
