My homage to Sailor Jerry - enamel on steel

And another enamel on steel (11" x 14" I think)

Both of these (and some stuff I pinstriped) will be for sale at the Rockabilly Luau (outside of Atlanta) tomorrow in the Dead Ends tent.

What a great reason to turn on the computer, the Friday Art Show! My humble contribution a commissioned piece for a friend whose brother tore up the town in the Seventies with a 64 Chevelle. This is an unfinished pen and ink. I just wanted to put something on for ths week's show.

Well last week I really didn't have much to show, but I did post the initial pencil drawing of this painting late in last weeks show. So here is the finished painting for this week. Great artwork by all this week, truly an inspiration to me every week by all.

I hope you don't mind me posting this one too. Just got done with it yesterday. I'm sure I looked real funny in the driveway to my neighbors trying to take pictures of my pants for reference shots. Some Roy Orbison pencil work.

WOW what an amazing show this week! I've been on the road selling off my inventory to make more and it's always funny to me the hard core hot rodders who have never heard of the JJ. I send them to the FAS first so they can see why it's worth checking out. I'm working on a cool TV animation project and this traditional custom built by Tiny's Kustoms is one frame which will fly by at a fraction of a second in the final edit...

Here's my submission. Had a customer want a truck lettered up 50 years ago. Took some tweaks and tricks but I think I got it to look pretty close:

Second, here's a pith helmet I striped (for sale)

Third, not really art but its sexy to me. Bought this car when i was in 4th grade, I'm 33 now. Not a nut or bolt on it hasn't been turned and finally interior is going in. 57 chevy 2door hardtop 210 model with original v8 motor.

Been a long time since I knocked out a piece of art. Here is my recent scratchboard of Dorr Johnson’s wickedly cool ’30 Ford coupe! I have some progress shots all from my cell. I will have better ones up soon. Hope you dig!

Sat down with a cup of coffee and enjoyed some nice art. Among my many favorites this week:

robschwager: I really love that sexy, fun, sweet, beautiful design
jdustu: Bike 180 is scaring me with so many excellent details
ALLISON: The Cometron 60's show rod/ digger rail is like nothing else. Homebrew haulers makes a nice page design. Really well done.
GaryC: Nice balance of light, blur and detail
dmmccraryart: Darlington watercolor is painfully good.
lowcab: I'm a sucker for white pencil on gray or black. The Roy Orbison piece is classic and clean.
    Cixpack: Clean and elegant.
Malibob: The Chevy sixpac is a winner but I think the computer type is a weak spot.

I also like Spoggie's green 'Vette lines, Norwell's rail art, Andy Vaughns' VW, Customcory's scraps, buick 59's God light on the '55, JalopyJohnnie's low, big wheel proportions, Hot rod Jen's stripes on canvas...Oh heck - I like it all!

The truck is not HAMB friendly, but I thought the subject matter and striping would fit in. Hand painted with one shot.[IMG]eshots.
