hi everybody. new guy here from central Indiana. longer time reader on here and finally joined up. i got a 1958 fairlane about a month ago from a friend of mine. it was his grandparents car from texas that they bought new. it sat from 77 till about last year when he brought it up here. he left the engine and trans in texas. he said it was a 352 car and if i wanted i could have the engine and trans. it has very little rust. it will be a fun project and i think i found the right forum to help me out. thanks everybody
Welcome from Indy. You should hit the Road Rockets Rumble this Fri-Sat-Sun on Indy's westside. You will find some great ideas for your Fairlane there.
Welcome from the Great State of Maine. Go get that engine and trans! Nothing wrong with them....of course you could always go the 351,460 route!
Welcome from Beech Grove Indiana. I second what tommyd said about the Rumble this weekend. You definitely need to look up one of the promoters of the Rumble Tom Culbertson. He is a Ford guy.
hey everybody thanks for the warm welcome. i will deffanitly be at the rumble saturday afternoon after i get off work. cant wait haha
Welcome from the Southeast side of Indy!!! I'm giving a third shoutout for the Rumble! Tom and Dennis are speaking the truth!
Dito - to the Indy Road Rockets Rumble - a real cool '58 rancharo will be there - the owner (Lon) can help you on any question you got.
Welcome aboard. Love '58s. In fact I have 4 of them. Only one running. Two are a slow restoration. Give me a shout if I can help in anyway.
