Your car, but myself I would never run all rubber hose like that, too easy to be damaged. I hope you used the correct high pressure hose rated for oil and not fuel line, regular fuel line will fail and dump the trans fluid everywhere and could cause a fire and or trash the trans.
It's okay to use a bit of hose at the radiator connections, but one of mine they replaced the lines with hose and one of them was rubbing on the frame. I didn't catch it until I was 100 miles from home and it let go on me. Steel line is cheap and easy to bend - The key with the transmission is to keep the temp in a certain range - too much heat will cook it. I've run a lot of my vehicles with the radiator cooler and an auxillary cooler on the radiator - my Chevy G30 van came that way factory, in fact a guy on a budget could rob one of those coolers and have one that already comes with a bracket to mount it. Doing that, I was able to beat the hell out of one 700R4 with no ill effects.
If your running a performance motor or High stall converter... Absolutely! If your running a stock Engine & transmission I still would, the factory always did (Unless the Trans. case had air holes in it or fins on the converter).
What he said, those power steering cooler are cool as hell, well built, and will help your trans stay cool...

my o/t 03 park avenuehas about 4-5 ft of steal tubing looped from the factory for a cooler? 3800 supercharged v-6. I used to be a cooler whore but after all these years and temp checks I have gotten over the cost of fittings and leaks. I now have a minimalist approach, gauges too
I mounted one along side the radiator shroud so it gets plenty of air flow. The other side has a radiator overflo tank so it looks balanced.
drptop77ss, thanks for the words of caution. I thought about my approach and feel it is a sound solution. The hose is the special type for transmission oil cooler. The routing is secure and should not chafe as the only movement should be between the front of the engine and radiator. Also, I bracketed the hose to provide support. I think exposure to hazards is minimal. You are right about rigid tubing, it would be the best way to go. A friend said that power steering hose would make a good cooler line. Thanks for your comments, they are appreciated. (o[]o)
I came across a running th350 out of a light wieght rod, it had the lines capped, a first for me. I threw it in my T about 9 years ago, for mock-up intentions, but . . . that was 9 years ago. The new owner drove it back to AZ 6 hours away & drives it everyday all day like I drove it everyday all day for several years. JUST MY EXPERIENCE, & I DONT KNOW HOW.
That is strange, having the cooler connections capped. Very strange... Neat rods you have there. (o[]o)
