Lmao Great I needed a laugh "Buttermilk Keg Parties" "Barn to be Wild" Back door Amish battery sales OMG thats funny
I used to take the back roads thru amish farms to get to MIR raceway, and on a sat afternoon when two buggies happen to be on the same road they'll light'em up! I've seen it more than once, they got thier best buggy out and thier best hoss and they don't take seconds! I've seen them hook a modern bassboat up behind the buggy to go fishin, they can't hook the hoss' direct to the bass boat because of thier religeous beliefs. What is awsome is to watch the young men plowing the field witha 4 hoss team. I'm not sure a tractor is all that much quicker if you got good soil.
Yup we had to get one of Jakes "Amish County Choppers" t shirts while in Syracuse . The one with the front wheels of the buggy off the ground. Maybe the shirt was modeled on these kids?
That story was funny as hell ! If they are going to drink they should at least be responsible and hire a limo for the night on the town ! Don
Here is the traditional punishment for Amish hot rodding... http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-3593022864394082433

Don't know if some one photo shopped the yellow buggy BUT those are not Amish buggies their Mennonite different group one clue is the rubber tires on the buggy The "English" (Us outsiders) treat Amish and Mennonite same as we did the Indian as far as identity just stuff them all in one bag! While they look some what the same there are many differences between them including clothing and buggies amongst others.
Don this is really a "tour bus" Used to give us "English a "Amish experience" You pay good money for a buggy tour of the area. Near my cousin In Pa. there's also an "Amish village " You can visit for a fee to see the day to day life of the Amish only it's staffed by Mennonites not Amish!picture taking in the Amish community is very restricted! if you visit Amish areas and visit "Amish" stores you most likely are being served by a Mennonite Especially if you are served by a woman/girl they do not work in public stores
Uh, hey genius... Um, no, it's not. It's OBVIOUSLY a photoshop. Look at the shadows on the grass beneath the buggy. Not to tinkle on your Amish/Mennonite history lesson...

Here's a link for ya. Might want to read up. Pay attention to the part about the wheels. http://amishbuggy.tripod.com/buggyinfo.htm http://amishbuggy.tripod.com/
my family went up to the filmore glen car show last year and passed a family in a buggy while in our 58 impala. We all stared and pointed and so did they. It was hilarious. wonder if they wanted to trade
Waaaaay too much thought is being put into an otherwise funny thread. And that "limo"? Yea, a VERY clear photoshop. Hell, it's not even done well. Now, where's that NAASCAR pic. THAT was funny.
