I'm trying to get a 62 falcon gasser together to drive to the hot rod reunion in bowling green. Its going to be a challenge. I will post some pics as soon as I upload them.

Count me in, this is the '56 I'm working on. If anyone recognizes this car or may have some past history let me know.
    Thanks

Not quite a Gasser but, here is my '65 Plymouth Valiant with '56 354 Chrysler HEMI, kinda has a '60's drag car inspired spirit. Love seeing all these old drag cars, Thanks Brian and Gordy

Lotsa times guys would take the hood or fenders off to run in the Altered class 'cause there was too much competition in the Gas class. Cars that don't have fenders or front ends...even with straight axles are NOT GASSERS!

Main reason for taking the frontend offf a gasser was not to avoid competition, but rather to get more competition! They wanted to run their cars in both classes and hopefully bring home more winnings by placing in both classes.
Occasionally their car would not meet tech for a certain gas class and they would remove it to run altered where it would meet the rules.

i am building an off topic gasser, but its still a gasser style car, enjoying the work and the look, cant wait to terrorise the streets in a gasser again. first gasser was a 63 duece, econoline beam narrowed 6", sat a mile high and sucked to drive on windy days, but i sure do miss the ol' gal.
