My buddy Eric was nice enough to pick a copy up for me this weekend. I was really disappointed to hear that there were no customs in the book, but decided to flip through it anyway. Oh my. Ryan, are you sure you've never done a magazine before? I was completely confused by the stories and the format. And then I realized it wasn't trying to be a car magazine. It was just a weird book that's done better than any car book I've ever flipped through. The photography is 2nd to none - even Rodder's Journal and the writing is world's better. I do, however, think it's too short. I wanted to keep reading. And, how about a custom next issue? There is a next issue. Right?
Thanks! I think? There will be an issue 3. And an issue 4. And 5. And... I'm starting to sound like LeBron James. Actually, we are taking it one book at a time. That said, I heard from a pretty good source that there will be a custom or two in the next book.
Mine arrived today. I haven't had a chance to really read it yet, but from a quick glance I am blown away. While we are at it, I love the new shadow t shirt, I'm wearing it now. And yeah, the tag toppers are just fucking cool. Great stuff, great work, can't wait for more. Bill
I bet you made some people really nervous with this one. Own the digital world and then take back the analog one? It's the best hot rod book or magazine or whatever the hell it is I've ever read.
Oh man.. Seeing everyone remark on the excellence of the Journal isn't making me feel any less anxious about mine coming in.
I just spent the last two hours after a long day reading it. Seriously great, entertaining, and visually stunning. Too bad the dumb ass post office fucked the cover up! But never judge a book, or journal, by it's ripped cover.
