  1. This Willys and Bunky Bobo are still around North Georgia, and looks just as good today as in this vintage photos.

More action from the 1966 Nationals. I only have a few views of guys with their wheels in the air. Anybody recognize him?[IMG]

[IMG]I caught this Anglia gasser at La Place, LA in May of 1967 at the Div 4 points race. No idea who it is but it was sponsored by Dickson Engine and Balancing. Does this ring a bell with anyone? This was the same race where Charlie Smith pulled his 'green gas' trick as told in another post.[IMG] This is Earl Mascarelli from Houston TX

Another view from the 66 Nationals that I can't ID. Given that the stands aren't packed, it's probably during time trials on Thursday or Friday. [IMG]

I believe that this is Nor-Cal chassis builder Pete Ogden at Bakersfield in 65 or 66.

maybe.....this was labeled Ogden in '65, Bako, nobody in the grandstand in the top photo, but could be an angle from the other side of the track

Wasnt Haase involved with the Radar Wheel Spl at the time? Note inh the front row of the bleachers, a grey haired woman wearing a skirt, holding her hands over her eyes. Looks like she ought to serving more as an audience member with the Lawrence Welk Show than a drag race. But back then, seeing folks donned in something other than sweats and t-shirts was a common practice when the ventured somehwere. I have seen pictures of moto-cross in Europe from the 60's and early 70's wherein spectators are seeing wearing sport coats, ties and slacks, while their girlfriend/wife has a tight skirt and high heels. From another era to be sure.

Nando won the Hot Rod Magazine meet at Riverside driving the Rader car. Not sure of the year but it got him on the cover of the magazine.

She's probably seen the gas spewing out of that tank and is hoping and praying it don't catch a spark........

I think that they are two different cars, note the long fuel tank at the top, and the Moon-style in the bottom photo...Yes, top was Nando Haas, note the Radir Wheels on the car, wonder if the bottom picture is Paul Sutherland, who also got upside down at Bakersfield?

This video sure answered the questions..so the first shot was Haas and the second was Pete Ogden...remember reading how mad Woody was, threw the full body over the fence, didn't realize that John Batto retrieved it....great stories, THANKS FOR POSTING
