32 locking hubcap

    this is on the spare wheel on a mates 32 3w,is it unique to 32,never seen one before,hope he has a key!!

    Funny you should mention it. I never knew about these things until I went to an old time racer's house last week and he has a box of them. Pretty cool part.

    There were locking hub caps for every year Ford that matched the hub cap for the year of the car that it came on. Yes it will fit 33-35 but it is a 32 cap only technically.

    On side spares, 1932's got a cap-only lock, on the rear the cap also had a strap that went around the tire and on back to the bracket--purpose (since everyone in 1932 had a tire iron and knew how to change tubes!) was to keep Joe Dirtbag from simply popping off the tire and leaving the naked wheel locked to the car.

    That's a '33-34 Cap actually, On a '32 the "wings" on the V don't go past the first circle

    that is incorrect, it IS a 33 ONLY part, a 33 V8 ONLY part.

    The 34 V8 cap is different, it looks like this:

    the 32 cap is VERY similar to the 33 V8, it looks like this:
