Its been on here before, but you asked. Walker the owner/builder of the Diamond T has a fast and loud 1958? bastard alfa single seat roadster that really pisses off the local purist Alfa/Ferrari club in Seattle. I won't waste band width on it, but I really like the turned dash and the fabbed side exhaust. The side car makes it track like shit, but its the only way to take a passenger. I think it weighs under 1400lbs, I know my dad and I have slid it around the shop floor when it was in the way. http://www.closeenoughengineering.com/alfa1.shtml
Man this is like a message from the vintage tin god, I saw one for sale yesterday and didn't take the time to stop. I'll take photos. used to drive by what looked like a diamond T pickup never stopped, but was pissed when I saw it being loaded as I drove by one day
My dad had a 48 Diamond T one ton pickup. The first thing I got to drive and my first brake job... Age 13. Shared a lot of parts with a Hyster forklift. Paul
Last fall I was walking down a street in Portland and spotted a truck behind a fence. I walked around the corner and among other things found this Diamond-T. This was the guys third truck project and a fourth was waiting in his back yard.
guess i'll post mine again. there's a '34 on seattle craigslist right now for $4700. good metal, bad wood. just do google, images, diamond t for tons of pics. the black one started out as the rusty semi.
Here are a couple of pics of a 1933 Diamond T I just finished lettering. Not quite finished yet. Next truck I'm doing for this customer is a 1934 International 4 door searchlight truck;supposedly the last one of it's kind. Pics when it is striped.
