Sammy I'm playing too brother and I'm sure all your Gasser friends here will send ya a ticket if they hit too!
Yo Dirt...(said in my best Joe Dirt voice) I'll see ya there. If ya want I can pull the rearend out the Poncho after our show this weekend and bring it to Thompson. Frenchtown Flyer.....I hope you do not mind a fat guy drooling and touching that altered. You will probably see weird things like LOTS of pictures being taken of stuff that normally get overlooked by the mainstream. I LOVE old Altereds and some day will build one.
Damn, everytime I see a car I really like it's at Thompson! Next year by golly i'm coming! Question: If you had to choose between Thompson Gasser Reunion or Gasser Nationals (like I do) which would you plan on attending?
Not to hi-jack this thread but I posted awhile back about a car that used to run at Thompson back in the late 60's early 70's and didn't get much in reply. I'd still love to know what happened to it. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=686068 If you don't know, just continue to post that you will be there. (I hope to be).
I'll be there hangin with the 409 crowd.......one of the best events of the season imo.......we all hope the rain skips us again this year.
I'll be there with the rest of the club, Nostalgic Notions and with any luck I will bring the [30 yr.garaged find coupe up fri.] see you all up there,Dave
Hey your the guys with the "Pure Gold" car right? I need to hook up with you guys if you dont mind. I am building a 59 FED myself and need some tips advice and serious help. Always love seeing your FED cant wait to see this 62 chevy!
Yep we have the pure gold car debating on bringing it but we have some major thrashing to on the 62 to get it ready.
Less than a week away!! Gonna be one of the best events this summer!! heres some pictures from a few years ago.
Hey, I recognize that black coupe. Unfortunetly we won't be able to make it this year. I love this event and we are going to try very hard to be there next year. Have fun everyone and be safe. Gasser Girl
usually a decent swap meet for a drag event waddaycare...depending upon 2 things....the weather and what you are looking for. Parts wise usually 35 + vendors, mostly parts mostly gasser / drag oriented. Doubt if I will be there vending as I have to work friday and it's only a 2 day event, so quite a haul and quite an expense for vending one day for me, but good luck to you. Moonlight But good luck
We plan to be there early on Saturday morning..... but the Opel won't!!!! Unexpected "blown engine" (BIG TIME) & some major re-do's will keep us outta action for this season (at least). Have not been to Thompson since Mid America/Gasser Mag gang moved their events to Summit, Beaver Springs, etc. Thompson was one of the "best times" we ever had at a drag race ..... love sitting next to the guard rail at the starting line..... you can find us there!!!!
We had The Last Logghe (car in background) out and it was shootin ducks. I hope to have it fixed - after I repair my RV w/ three broken exhaust manifold studs - for the Wed. test-n-tune tomorrow. The Willyc coupe stays at home this year.
