I've been searching and searching to find out what these valve covers fit. And the only thing I can come up with are Y blocks.

    Anyone else have suggestions?

They look just like the one's that were on the y-block in one of my 56 Ford pickups. Heavy suckers.

  5. The bolt holes look to be too close to the center to be Y-block covers, at least comparing them to my stock Y-block covers.

That's what I found out when I was searching, it does seem like the bolt holes are too close together. But I will get the measurements later today. Thanks, guys.

Here's mine... those don't look like Y block, look how short the fins are between the logo and the bolt hole. Early olds or cad?

Now that he mentioned a nailhead, that's kind of what they look like. I looked up some pictures online and they look to be close together bolts like these ones.

I had a pair of those on a 371 Olds. Very nice parts, if you have an early Olds.

Here's what I got so far:
    Definetly not a Y block.
Maybe, a nailhead, early olds (possibly rocket), and AMC/Kaiser Jeep.

Anyone know of a website or someone I can email about how to find out what they're for? I can't seem to find any contact email on edelbrock's website.

    That would be great! Thanks!

  19. Some of the early Studebaker were very similar to Olds as well , just another thought.

(Edit, i take that back, one of my sets says nothing on em, sorry!

anyways, your measurements match up to mine, they are olds.)

flip em over, they say what they fit, seriously! Ive got 3 sets of the edelbrock olds covers, 2 say early olds, the other set says 1957-58, which is revering to the 371, they are just a touch longer as the rocker shafts are longer.

either they will say "early olds" or "1957-58"

    these are both olds covers.

Mine actually don't say anything on them other than edelbrock. So if they're early olds, what years and motors would they fit? Oh, and what would they be worth? :D

Those are a nice choice for Olds.. one of the better looking covers, but ...

    They are not worth 525.

Click this hamb link, to the 57 Edelbrock catalog.
    http://www.jalopyjournal.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/12/1957-catalog-9.jpg

Note this is an early 1957 catalog, and they say the 57 cover will be available later that year.

Now, THAT is a cover worth paying $$ for, because it had a large cast "57" right under the Edelbrock script. I've seen a set in person, that a guy bought new back then.
