Viva has always been an epic event, but you'll have to stay tuned 'til after the next one to see if it can be saved due to the new rules and regs. I've never been to the reunion either but I got 2 words for ya'... ...DRAG RACING!!

There's no comparison... yet... Rod Reunion is only in its 2nd year so its still growing. Last year there were only a couple of rows of cars, and that included street rods... but I didn't care cuz I had beer and drag racing.

Still, it was a "good job, well done"! (private joke for Jet Fuel)

I'm really looking forward to it this year.

We have a couple of good shows/drags coming up this year and next spring down here in San Diego. Firstly, the Barons CC are hosting a drag race and show similar to our "King of Clubs" event in late September (Stay tuned for official date) and we will be having our 2nd annual "Lifters King of Clubs" next spring(Check out the latest old skool rodz for coverage of the 1st one). Both events will be held at the Barona Speedway. They have a bitchen vegas style resort and casino less than 10 minutes from the show with deluxe rooms, killer buffet and more for pretty cheap. I really hope we can convince some long haulers to come down for these shows!

It doesnt compare...its a completely different type of event.

We arent tryin to be Viva in any way shape or form.

All we are is a one day car show with drag racing......we are more like the primer nats....with gambling and an after party :D

We had 115 cars in our first year last year and 45 vendors.

I set the event up with the Vegas Motor Speedway, so feel free to ask.

This year should be MUCH larger....the Drags last year were PSCA finals....this year WE get the track and everyone can race, and I think Suedesled is gonna bring his digger....so bring your FED's, Gassers, Altereds ( so long as they meet NHRA spec)

There are almost twice as many vendors already and tons of folks tellin me theyre comin'....I am guessing 2-3 times the size of last years innaugural.

it will be a blast....there is an after party at the Cannery that attendees can go see the Surfari's, and I am working with some venues in Vegas to have a Road Devils after party with special guests The Detonators, and I am working on several other bands including Hellbound Hayride, among some others I will keep a secret for now :D

We will be there for sure with the complete EELCO trailer in tow. I plan to bring the digger for sure. We are hoping to finish the new motor (blown alky nailhead) this month and will dial in up here to run in Vegas and the reunion. Keep your fingers crossed for us and buy more EELCO stuff so we can get the car done!

What are the prices for admission, entry, etc. Says on the site they are reduced, but doesn't say what they are. Not that it would affect whether I go, I'm going! Just want to know.

I am going to be there sometime on the 13th, so anytime on the 14th works.

I just want to have time to have a meeting (not like last time where we waited an hour for the track guys) go over game plan, judging, security etc.

I would like for John to have track security in on a meeting with us so they know who most of us are and know who to come get if one or another of us are not available.

Its looking like turnout this year will be triple last year, so be ready.

    Thanks Pat!
