Update on the poncho! Dipped her in some new color. Got some HOK primer and mixed in a little yellow with some blue to lighten it up and over reduced it to spray it as a sealer. Also shaved the grille emblem and the GP badges on the sides, along with mirrors and antenna. Got a new front bumper for it too. After about 4 different failed attempts to get one locally I decided to get one from E-pay, pricture showed it to be straight and in need of a polishing. But when it came in had a hugh dent near the mounting brakets. Since it is in slightly better condition than the original decided to put it on and get it as straight as possible till I find something better. So once its on, I take it to the hot rod shop and enlist my bosses help to get it straight. Sure as my luck goes less than 1 day after painting, a dash sitting in the corner of the shop falls over barley grazing my car putting scratch in it. Cant have anything nice for to long!!
None of ours are Grand Prixs, but we have a soft spot for ponchos. The 60 Ventura we still have and love and drive daily, it was my first driveway paint job, named it "the Kroozado". The yellow 'bird we just sold to our dentist. We'll get more, I've found you actually can own every car you ever wanted, its just not practical to own them all at once...unless your last name is Leno.
She's brown now, almost finished with her. Getting the seats re-upholstered next Posted from the TJJ App for iPhone & iPad
