276 hemi exaust bolt leaking water.

    Just got finished doing headgaskets and noticed an exaust leak.Pulled the bolts from the header and water started leaking from two of the bolt holes.Any ideas?

  3. The bolts are into the water jacket - do like Lippy said and put some sealant on them an put them back in.
     
  4. The holes are tapped into the water jackets.
    Sealed studs, short set screw sealed and then bolts, seal the bolts and don't remove them with coolant.
    Plenty of ways to skin that cat.

    Lower into water & upper into oil @ the top of the heads.
