What NON-gambleing, HAMB friendly stuff is going on the third week of September? Going to be in town the 14th through the 20th. and looking for stuff to go to, attend, be a tourist, etc.. Where can a guy get a burger? Any place cool to see? Shops to visit?
Non-gambling and Vegas in the same sentence ... please sir, get help ... clearly you have a problem. (I'm betting 2-1 that I'm right ... if I win I'm gonna put it all on red ... no ... black ... no ... yes, black ... wait ... red ... hmmmm, maybe I'm the one with the problem??)
Here ya go dave http://www.lvchamber.com/ or better yet give your ticket to your wifes best friend and drive them both to the airport.
Thanks guys. Any Vegas HAMBers out there with other suggestions? I gotta spread my dollar a day allowance as far as I can!
for burgers... http://slidinthru.com/menu/ they have the trucks and a sit down place, ya' cant miss with Raising Canes chicken fingers, if ya' haven't had them yet... http://www.raisingcanes.com/ go hang out by Nellis Air Force Base, the Thunderbirds are based there, it is always an air show... I 'spose you could visit my granddaughter, she's pretty cool!
Art & Shirley Goldstrom's by appointment, So Cal, probably something going on at LVMS. There a bunch of donut shop deals going on every weekend. I'll PM you a link to Lugnuts site. He keeps up with everything automotive and takes a ton of pictures. He used to put his pics up here but somebody jumped him about an intro. unfairly and ran him off.
Check out Art Kamm's lasvegascruisingassociation.com site. He lists events, cruises, etc. Art Goldstrum has incredible cars of great rodding fame, dozens of them, in his warehouse off West Hacienda, by appointment. Imperial Palace casino car collection up on the 5th floor is neat. There are some rod shops and such off American (near Stephanie) in Henderson, an adjoining city. Try the yellow pages when you get in.
Just remembered a 150-200 car Saturday cruise-in every Saturday 7AM on South Eeatern near the 215 at a donut shop in a shopping center. You won't be able to miss it when you get near.
I just google mapped where we are staying{Tahiti Village resort} and where the Applebee's on E. warm spring rd. is at. The Las Vegas Cruisin" association says their having a breakfast gathering there. It looks like its only a mile and a half. I can walk that far if'n I wanted to.
If you have the time check out the Caroll Shelby shop and take the tour. Pretty neat stuff going on out there. They are located out by the speed way. Call for info. Just missed the viva Las Vegas Show .pretty cool stuff there. hope you got some wheels when you arrive cause things are pretty spread out. Have a good time. YRUHOT.......Doug

DetroitDetomaso, Thanks for that link. I'll keep that and use it! Hotrod40coupe, I would have liked to see that. But, Somebody has to watch the parts store while the boss is doing the SEMA show
anything else going on? The L.V.C.A. sunday get together at the Applebee's on e warm spring rd. I plan on going to. It's less than two miles from where we will be staying.
A garage crawl would be way cool. anybody willing to show an out of town hotrodder a good time? I dont smoke or drink so I'm a cheap date.
Hoover Dam is an engineering marvel. If you like the scenic vista/flora/fauna/hiking opportunity deal, Red Rock Canyon is very cool. Either can be done in a morning.
I am definetly hitting the Applebee's Sunday breakfast get together on Sunday the 16th on e. warm springs rd.. I'll be the lost looking guy wearing the black N.W. H.A.M.B. t-shirt.
