OK. there is some differences between my projects ´39 deluxe dash.

    Aulis

today get painted frame and rest of body pieces (hoods etc.).
I earlier asked if somebody has installed 35-> Ring and pinion to 1932 original rear end, but not get any answers. I have now pieced original rear end and tomorrow we start to measure with my miller friend. goal is to get 35-> 3.25:1 ring&pinion to older style housing.

    That is correct JH
I sectioned 4 inches out of the width by taking the ashtrays out. This was done to put the steering column on centerline with the gauges.

First I love this car and the color is great! What is that round thing below the dash, speakers? What are they ? I would love that in my truck.

Very nice pictures. I like most all project pictures. You can look those long time and see good details, ideas how somebody has solved problems,...

´38-39 dash is very nice. Round both ways and I belive very good looking in ´63-66 chevy pick up too.

I have had little problem with paint. have to pait all parts twice because this DuPont color is not cover basics. If I know that first, I would paint there all over nearly same color other brands paint (glasurit), but we note too late this problem and now I have to sand all parts another time and repaint so we get more thickness and so on,...
Good thing is that i do it myself (no costs) but takes time and we have used 9litre (2gal) Olive green color and not ready yet.

This car will be for driving and I do not fix all problems,... but all must look OK before I carry parts own garage. I called to DuPont and they said, this old color is include very much adhesive and a small amount of pigment (H-D color), that´s why it not give good result.

Salf100 - Thanks for the words. The underdash thing is a 1942 aftermarket Tropic-Aire heater. I found it NOS on EBAY and put a 12 volt motor in it and it works great!!

I also had a lot of repaint problems with my color. Had to do some things 3 times. No support from local paint shop. They kept blaming our equipment which had done killer work prior too - and every job since. they gave me a whopping $30 discount on $1,260.00 worth of paint! i almost told them to stick it but I was almost broke at that point. Never again!!

    Thanks.
Now all parts paitend twice, doors three times, cowl top 4time,....
We have same problems with "LowA100" if we are talking about paintjob.
I have now used 9litre (over 2 gal) Olive green and cost over 1000euro (+1300usd) + epoxy etc etc. Good thing is that my friend owns carpaint company and he was nearly sponsor all what I did there.

Today arrived old Harman&Collins camshaft and after get painted all small parts (backing plates, spindles, front axle, pedals,... ) I start to open engine and tranny.
Rear end is not ready but we have solved some problems to install that 3.25 ring and pinion to 1932 case.

Harman & Collins camshaft has been measured and also get some info from
Grand Old Camshaft manufacturer in CA. 260/262 , 0.365"/0.365" , 110lobe. Sounds good, hope that also engine sounds good too. Cam was unused!.

two days have worked with dash and electrics. wiringharness fits good (1939 deluxe sets) and very good quality.

    Thank You Sirs.
I built this early early style and try to keep the parts old look.
Not need to fix too much before paintjob and not too much shiny crome or polished stuff.

Just made frontfloor pieces brown-plywood because its strong and not so flexible.
Need to sand those and paint using furniturepaint -semigloss.

during eastern get interior, doors etc. ready and next week must star to weld together rearaxle and make there some machinery jobs.

Engineparts are on the way and feels that now project "jumps" foward big steps.
Ok, it takes time to built watertubes (long upper tubes and S-curved lowers), exhaust etc etc. etc., but we still have snow here middle of nowhere,....

Please excuse the previous computer fart. What kind of season does a roadster owner have in Norway.
