I never did get it painted. Sold it as shown to a guy in Idaho. Saw it for sale the following year at Goodguys Northwest Nats. Black primer and a big honkin caddy air filter... Never have seen it since

Thanks! Porkchop always seems to nail the stance on everything he builds. I no longer own the car as of a week ago. Traded it for a 40 Ford Coupe.

I remember when it was being built, it was an old hot rod from the 50's as I recall?...didnt it have 2x4's on it at first?

The car was bought stock for a kid's graduation present in the early 60's. He put a '64 327 365 hp motor in it and painted it the blue. He owned the car up until he died a few years ago.

It did have 2x4's on it when it left Porkchop's. Had some trouble with it running right so I took them off while I was diagnosing the problem. Never got around to putting them back on.

I built this one in 1953. It had a Desoto hemi bolted to a Ford trans. I paid $75 for the coupe and $35 for the engine. I was a member of the Flywheels Auto Club in Massachusetts. When the engine blew, the car became a b-altered drag car that held the New England class record with a Chrysler hemi. I was 17 when I built it. Still messin' with rods today!

    Human Fly,
In response to your request. These are photos of photos, so quality might suffer. The '32 was my DD thru the New England winters, hence the hokey fenders and dirt. Last pic is as it was as a drag car, and the last photo I have of it.

  27. Not the best pics of the car, but it's channeled and no chop. left the headlights stock height too.
