Projects new henry j owner

hello to all just pick up a 1951 henry j deluxe. need to know what you guys use for brakes.

 

I use bare feet like Fred Flinstone. No floorboards or brakes.

here is the henry j that i will be pick up tomarrow (monday). It is a 1951 henry j deluxe all stock with the inline 6 runs and moves under it own power but the brakes need look at. the engine got rebuild 10 years ago then put in the barn. The older man how own it got cancer and pass (r.i.p sir) so i pick it upfor 3000. this is going to be all stock i just dont see enough of them dont get me wrong i love the gasser's so help with brakes.

 

Good for you keeping it stock. I saw an all stock '40 Willys a few years back at the C.H.R.R. and couldn't believe it! I had never seen a stock one in all my years.
We need to have a reference point.

Throw some strips on it and drive the shit out of it!

 

If it's got stock brakes why not just fix 'em? You ain't goin' fast with that flat six anyway, even if it does say Supersonic on it.
