I already have everything to bag the front along with the rear bags and 4 link kit, all I need is the notch kit...and time!

It is now all in bare metal (all the John Deere primer from the P.O. is off) and those wheels have been sold.

To all the haters, your name isn't on the title so until it is I will build it the way I want!

Sign me up. the car is currently all apart as I am switching to V8 and trying to decide on a rear set up, springs, 4 link, 2 link bags, coil overs? . perfect time to do a notch install

I'll play. I've been playing with VWs most of my life and it's about time to pass on my Baja Bug that I've owned for the last 30 years to my son. I bought my '51 Styleline on Dec. 27, 2011. This is the first American car I've ever really planned on fixing up. I plan on doing a mild custom, peaked hood, shaved door handles, lowered, wide whites, Lancer hubcaps, frenched headlights. I've got a buddy that runs an automotive machine shop building a 327/turbo 350 for me. I've picked up a '69 Camaro 10 bolt rearend off of Craigslist to slip under it. I haven't even put a wrench to my Chevy yet because it's stored at my brothers farm because I can't even get it into my garage untill I give my son my VW.

    My new project.

My 30 year project that my son is going to get soon.

My 6 year grand daughter loves Grandpa's old Herbie car. She will love it even more when it's in her Dad's garage and they can go for rides whenever they want.
