I agree, that gold and orange is a unique and pleasing combo. Great wagon.

By the way, what's a "Cheech and Chong restoration"?

Ah! That gold is horrifying. (Sorry, fellas, but that's the way I see it.)
Get a nice cream/ivory on there asap. I am totally envious - I love that car.

  6. I agree with atomickustom. Gold doesn't get it. Dodge had a beautiful coral and charcoal color combination in '57 that I think gets it closer to right.

it means whoever chose the colors and interior must have been hitting the bong pretty hard.

the gold is okay, but it has GREEN SPLATTERS on top of it!!! photos don't pick it up. i don't want to, but i'll take a close up.

Orange, gold and GREEN? Bom chicka wa wa, baby! Musta been painted by the same guy who decorated the house my parents bought in 1975. Any purple shag carpeting in the back??
Creme or off-white will look great.

Way cool but I'm not feeling the gold either.
Couple months ago we were looking for an older wagon for my wife for a DD. I almost bought a coral, grey and white tri tone 56 Coronet wagon. Probably would of if it hadn't been 1500 miles away! I did end up buying her a nice OT 71 Coronet and we love it but I'm still looking for a late 50's Mopar wagon, love them!

Thanks for the compliments guys, I appreciate it. I already posted the creamsicle version earlier in the thread, I'm toying with shooting some satin black on there just to get rid of that gold ASAP.

It's a real rough photoshop job, but you get the idea...

Hahaha! I must be "Up In Smoke" too, since I'm liking the color combo. The orange and gold seem like an unnatural pairing, but I can't explain why it works for me. Green splatters are wrong.

It's kind of reminiscent of Junior Conway's Shoebox which was painted bronze metallic and lime gold I guess.

It's a cool wagon. The tail lights and fins set it apart.

oh yeah, i love that shoebox. the wagon's gold and orange are just too far apart in color value. if it were a burnt orange or bronze, it could work.
