My buddy Greg decided it was high time Santa Rosa had an indoor car show again, and with the help of Mike Chase, boy did they hit it out of the park! The show is all this weekend at the Sonoma County fairgrounds. There are some real time capsules at this show. Cars like the So Cal Speedshop roadster, AJ Foyt's Bardahl 32 Ford, Rich Guasco's 61 AMBR winner and many more. I had the opportunity to meet Rich Guasco, cool guy......he even signed the Strange Bird's cowl!

Enough talk....here's some photos of the good stuff!

The Strange Bird was in good company!

Its a Nikon D3100 Pretty inexpensive DSLR that works great. I set it on dummy auto mode and it shoots pretty decent indoor pics. If I wanna get crazy with the settings it can do amazing stuff. I'm pretty happy with it. The Nikon isn't as user friendly as the Canon in the same price range but its worlds better in picture quality IMO.

Some of the pics aren't so great, I was competing with my 8 month old girls attention span, so pics had to be snapped quickly hahaha.

Cool, been wanting a DSLR. Now I know what to look for. My Canon PowerShot A3100 just doesn't cut the mustard for these kinds of shots. Maybe I just need to mess with the settings some.

Cute kid you got there. :)

Great photos and a bunch of really nice rides. Big variety too. Thank you for sharing. That oxide red primed Deuce 5 window made me damp. Very cool

Thanks for the pics, looks like a really good turnout. Was lucky to see a bunch of those at the Sac. Autorama.

Love Brandon's '39 and now with the blackwalls on it's reminding me a bit of Chris' '34 Pickup. Such a killer car.

So-Cal roadster would probably be my favorite from the pics you've shown.....love that era of hot rodding. Thanks for sharing!!

Great pics. I was confused about the "patina" on the '32 roadster, but after finding out the story behind it's history, it makes sence now. Looks like a well built hot rod.

Scotty, nice seeing you again! Great having our own autorama again. When I was 11 I got a Robert Williams tri-five poster at the SR show. I am attaching some of my pics. Please excuse the quality. They were done with a SD1100is point-and-shoot.

Oh...and the maroon on the body dates 1956..that is dads 1932 here on the hambs car. He and I rubbed it out, that's why the old lacquer is so shiny.. there is your explanation for " that style''..

    GREAT PICS STRANGE BIRDSALL!
