    Guys,

I'm looking for some suggestions of places online to list a 57 Ford Custom and a bunch of loose parts for sale. Obviously I will list it here, but are there any other good 57 Ford (or similar) related sites that I might want to consider? I don't have any high-dollar items to sell (that I'm aware of anyway), but the car is a fair high-dollar buildup that is not quite completed.

I can think of the obvious places like Hemmings, eBay, and here, but was wondering if there might be others that I haven't heard of before.

    Thanx...

I love 'em...but only the short wheel based 2 door sedans (Custom and Custom 300). Mine has a 390/toploader 4 speed.

    My favorite Ford!
My Uncle Mike from Paducah, KY had a '57 Fairlane 500 four-door hardtop (two-tone tan and brown) that he used to run at drag strips in southern Illinois in the mid-60s. It must have had a couple different induction setups; he once showed me a three-twos carb and manifold setup in the trunk. It also had a floor shift; I remember him pulling the boot up so I could see the road passing underneath! (I was five and easily impressed.) I'll see if he ever found a photo. As for me, I built five of the AMT kits over the years and also have a "holy grail" Revell Country Squire.

  15. Probably because it's friggin' ugly, man...really. Never ceases to amaze me how some people think they can improve a design that a company spent millions of dollars ro perfect....this is usually the result of that misguided attempt.

  16. Love me some '57 Fords...

Here's one of my old rides. I don't think I've posted it on this thread yet???

mine is now immortalized in film as a main character's ride. it's in the sanded state. check out the preview at www.atrmovie.com

the attached photo was taken at Bruce Campbell's place shortly after the filming of My Name Is Bruce. my car didn't make the cut for that movie, a bit too late for the casting call.

I dirt tracked a 57 custom, 427 in the mid 70's. I saved my brothers 57 ranchero after he died in 79, by the time I got around to getting it street worthy, Wisconsin winters caught up to it. Floor jack went right through the frame, cut that one up for parts. So I bought another rust bucket from southern Illinois, put a 4 bar rear in it, rack, discs, mustang drivetrain. Still needs a ton of bodywork, looking for a solid 57/58 shell to shorten up the project time. Bought a 58 off e bay, finished it up, repainted it, Love it. One thing I like about these cars, you can afford them, the tri-5 chevys are a little out of my budget. Mark

  20. Although I have never owned one, I have alway loved the lines on the '57 Ford. I'm sure I will end up with one eventually!

As a kid building model cars, the '57 Ford was always my favorite! I've always wanted one, and still do.
    Maybe someday, ya never know................

My pair. The 300 is kind of rusty. Have a fresh 312 and hope to have it and fresh paint on the Tudor before summer.

  24. Here's one that really does it ofr me. This was built locally in the early 60's with close to 1000 pounds of lead! It's a retractable with Lincoln quads, dual canted Packard taillights, fishscale louvers in the hood and extra teeth in a Chevy grille. When it was originally done it was white with blue flames. It now resides is sunny L.A.

  27. My 1st encounter with a 57 Ford was in 1972 when my best friend's dad gave him the family 4 door. After he rode a few times in my tri-power GTO I talked him into selling the 57 for a 396 Chevelle.

    My '48 F1 pickup has a '57 223 I6.
I'd really like to find a passenger car air cleaner for it.

Here's a 57 convert at my work that will be starting a new life soon.
