whats a four door coe worth

+2 on '42-'47. I'd track down the serial and ID it that way. Total, complete no brainer to bring home, very fixable, will bring good money. And weight wise not too bad, would be worth hiring a rollback to haul it if you had to.

 

Is that the one that's at Dan's Auto Body?

 

41-47 ford. Is it on an olds tornado frame? Front wheels look like it might be. 4 doors of that era are not factory made but were coach built by a few companies.

 

There is something a little screwy with the front wheels, the bolt pattern is not early Ford truck but it appears to be a rail road crew bus, the big back hole was to crawl thru to the tool crib. I'd start checking some old Norfolk and Southern picture archives, nice piece, just to far away for me.,

 

That thing is awesome and needs to be put back on the road!!!

 

My guess ,,, 41 or so ford, did search for early ford coe pics, and found a red one from washington (fixed up and looking good). Was only a two door, but grill, hood, fenders and front door are dead ringer for yours.

thanks for the info guys, now i am really thinking about putting this one away for a later build, its really growing on me.

 

Thats what I thought to. The hub isn't the same as on my ton & a half or straight ton truck. Who knows what it was made for.

 

Here are a few pics of a 1946 COE 2 door that was on ebay a while back.You can see what the front would look like together.But a 4 door pickup would be great to have too.Nice find...

It sold for $3249.99 so hopefully it goes to a good home and 1929Essex recovered his costs.

 

Well when the auction ended I got the typical "i didnt bid on this" and a million other excuses. I was able to find a buyer though and the truck actually sold for $2100. ebay was frustrating but I was still happy to get what I did for it and it payed for some parts for my model a coupe.
