Hi BIll, You sold me a 57 ford truck a few years back, and you took it over to my brother in law Dans place,This place has a much stuff as danny! Dont you old farmers in west texas ever get rid of stuff? Take care Russ
Hell, it doesn't rust away here like in the Northeast...it just gets sun- and windburned! I'm going to try to get back by the auction site sometime this weekend and get better pictures of the vehicles to post here.
The '39 Ford coupe sold for $950, bought by the grandson of the man who consigned all the vehicles to auction. The '51 Ford pickup, easily the nicest vehicle in the auction, went to RoadFarmer here on the HAMB, and the '55 Chevy pickup brought $2,500, which was at least $1,000 more than it was worth, given the extensive rust and bashing. Most of the vehicles brought $200-$400, and, just as I suspected, the majority will go straight to the crusher/grinder at Jarvis Recycling.
Bill, thanks for the update. I had great plans to be there an ended up in Dallas insted. Yea, that seems a touch high for the 55. I think there is one in the classifieds here for about that.
Lost a lot of solid southern sheet metal there...... I bet those 2 door cars and pick up cabs could have brought @$500 ea up here, and WOULDN'T HAVE BEEN SCRAPPED!!
