This is the result of our (the wife and me) attempt at upholstery in the '28.
I am thrilled and a lot richer thanks to Carols sewing and our "I think I can do that" attitude.

Getting close to the end of this project and will be posting a build thread with lots of picts soon

That headliner looks tight enough to bounce a quarter off of!
Inner sail panels, too...those take a special technique, and they are smooth.

I'd call it a Great job! My wife and I do everything together, too. Kudos to you both.

That's really neat. I love it when people do their own stuff.

Here is the area above the windshield.
Just have to do do the kick panels and floor. Seats are done, ready to install.
Pict of the front seat bottom. Have more but can't get to them now.
    Just redid the originals.

Oh yea, Backed the panels with regular auto upholstery cardboard. Got that and the foam and insulation on line. Fabric at Joann fabrics.
Have prob 3 or 4 full days in the car. Granted it takes an amature MUCH longer.

Looks good, I remember my first upholstery job I did, never looked that good lot of crooked seams and wrinkles, but it still in the car some 20 years later.

Have done a few interior jobs myself. I have found that if you carefully take the old covers and cut the seams apart you have great patterns for the remake. Also some thin foam added to the seats make the finish nicer.
