Pulmonary embolism is the sudden blockage of a major blood vessel (artery) in the lung, usually by a blood clot . In most cases, the clots are small and are not deadly, but they can damage the lung. But if the clot is large and stops blood flow to the lung, it can be deadly. Quick treatment could save the persons life or reduce the risk of future problems.

I had a cousin Die at the age of 39 because of one of these, she had just had Hernia Surgery to repait the damage from a C section, and it killed her the next day, leaving 2 kids under the age of 2 behind. These are very serious.

Get well soon John, Hope to see you at 50's this year.

 

John sure is a good bloke and a good friend to this little Aussie. Think you dodged a bullet old mate. Best wishes, speedy recovery is in order.

Thank You everyone for your kind thoughts,Thanks to percocet for pain relief. The only problem I usually fall right to sleep and sleep most of the day so now I'm just taking the pain. I'm looking forward in doing all the normal things like walking (outside) and driving again. My cough is getting better as it needs to be so I can feel healthy again to get back into the garage. I think Santa Maria may be out of the question this year (as the drive may kill me),but I'm planning on going to Salina Ks. KKOA this July.(hopefully in my 58 Plymouth.)

 

Rest up John the 50's will be here in no time, take care
